Chansung of top K-pop boy band 2PM has turned a gangster in love while filming his upcoming one-act drama.
The idol star’s agency JYP Entertainment released Monday snippets of Chansung on the set of KBS’s special one act drama ““Your Noir” (translated titled), set to hit air this Wednesday at 11:10 p.m. KST.
The K-pop star takes on the role of a newbie ganster Hyeong-ju, who falls in love once again with his high school teacher E-hyun (Chae Jung-ahn) after an unexpected encounter. Only this time, she is the wife of the prosecutor who is determined to put Hyeong-ju’s mafia group behind bars.
The noir drama has been grabbing attention with its star filming crew, namely producer Lee So-yeon of “Babyface Beauty” and scriptwriter Kim Wook of “The Princess’s Man.”
The upcoming show will be Chansung’s first small screen role in seven months since MBC drama “7th Grade Civil Servant.” His debut romcom movie “Red Carpet” is also set to open at the end of this year.
