K-pop’s longest-running idol group SHINHWA is set to resume their self-titled variety show “Shinwa Broadcasting” next month, yet without member Kim Dong-wan.

According to the show’s broadcaster JTBC’s press release Monday, “Shinhwa Broadcasting” will hit every Sunday 11 p.m. KST from November 3, five months after the show announced its temporary break.

However, member Kim Dong-wan will not appear on the show since he has decided to devote himself in SHINHWA’s musical activities and his individual activities as an actor, his promoter The J Story said in a press release Tuesday.

The upcoming show, dubbed its new subtitle “Small Legend Found By Shinhwa,” will feature five remaining SHINHWA members who visit our heroic neighbors and deliver their heartwarming stories.

“When you spend your Sunday night with ‘Shinhwa Broadcasting,’ you would go to bed with satisfying and warm heart,” producer Yoon Hyun-joon of the weekly show was quoted as saying.

In the meantime, Kim Dong-wan will take the leading role in upcoming musical “The passer-through-walls,” which opens its curtain at Seoul’s Hongik Daehangno Art center from November 13 to next January 26.
