K-pop group Girls’ Generation is vying to win an honor from YouTube’s first Music Awards.

The music video of “I Got a Boy,” Girls’ Generation’s latest local title tune rolled out on New Year’s Day of this year, has become the only video by an Asian female group nominated for Video of the Year of YouTube Music Awards, YouTube showed Monday in local time.

Global star PSY’s “GENTLEMAN” has also been shortlisted for the pop-star-studded candidate list, including Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, One Direction, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.

Launched this year, YouTube Music Awards is a music event to award top music videos and musicians much beloved by YouTube users around the world for a year, formed with a total of six categories including Artist of the Year, where PSY vying to win the honor.

On November 3 at 6 p.m. EST, the music awards will be held in New York along with live-streaming of shows in Tokyo, Moscow, Rio De Janeiro, London and Seoul.
