Iconic K-pop artist G-Dragon will collaborate with global pop star Justin Bieber in a new release.

During the press conference of 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards held (2013 MAMA) in Hong Kong’s Asia World Expo Arena Friday morning, G-Dragon said that he is working on new music with Bieber and the tune will roll out sometime next year.

The idol-turned-artist, who has already met the US pop star with PSY during Bieber’s performance in Korea, explained that, “Bieber has finished recording his part and it’s my turn to work on it.”

“I’d rather put it as a fun collaboration between two artists being of one mind than a big project, it is more comfortable for me to do it that way,” explained the mastermind of hugely successful K-pop group Big Bang.

About his upcoming performance to show during 2013 MAMA, G-Dragon raised the bar by saying that, “It was also amusing time for me to prepare for the performance. As a Korean and as an artist, I hope there will be lots of proud performances.”

2013 MAMA, into its fifth edition this year, is about to open its curtains at the Asia World Expo Arena Friday night 8 p.m. in Korea time, featuring top K-pop acts Big Bang, EXO, 2NE1, INFINITE, Lee Hyori, Rain and pop stars Stevie Wonder, Paris Hilton, Ylvis, Icona Pop and Hong Kong actor Aron Kwok.
