Korean rookie boy group BTS has decided to hold additional showcases in Japan next month.
BTS will fly to Japan again next month to hold showcases at Zepp Tokyo on January 6 and Osaka Nanba Hachi on 7, their agency Big Hit Entertainment said on Monday.
Over the weekend, the seven-member group held their first-ever showcases in Japan at Shibuya’s O-WEST in Tokyo.
Inviting in over 46,000 would-be participants, the event was held in success, performing a total of six tunes from their debut single “No More Dream” to follow-up tunes “N.O” and “The Rise of Bangtan.”
“We’re very surprised that the group grabbed enormous number of fans at the showcase before their official debut in Japan. BTS seemed to appeal to Japanese fans in that they’re talented in music and also have looks,” said an official with BTS’s Japanese agency ACC (Asia Contents Center).
BTS, formed of Rap Monster, SUGA, Jin, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, made debut this June with their debut single “2 COOL 4 SKOOL,” which produced gangsta hip-hop title tune “No More Dream.”
