MBC’s historic drama “Empress Ki, Battle of Flowers” has grabbed the TV ratings crown for seventh week in a row.
The 50-part epic renewed its highest ratings record with an average viewership of 19.9, sitting at the No. 1 place on AGB Nielsen Media Research (Nielsen Korea)’s ratings chart again, the chart showed on Wednesday.
At the runner-up place is SBS’s melodrama “One Warm Word,” which grabbed an average of 7.6 percent of total viewers, which is the exactly same amount of its viewership of last week.
KBS’s new romantic comedy series “Prime Minister & I” made a debut to the bottom place with an average mark of 5.7 percent.
Starring YoonA of Girls’ Generation and Lee Bum-soo, the drama centers around newbie reporter Nam Da-jung (YoonA), who gets into a romantic scandal and married by contract with new prime minister Gwon Yul (Lee), an admired single father of three children.
Meanwhile, TNmS’s (Total National Multimedia Statistic) survey showed the three programs in the same order yet slightly lower numbers than Nielsen Korea’s.
“Empress Ki” continued its top seed with an average score of 18.8 percent, while “One Warm Word” and “Prime Minister” followed next two spots, each with average numbers of 6.2 and 5.2 percent, respectively.
