Korean songstress IU has topped MelOn’s weekly charts again after her swing jazz hit “The Red Shoes,” this time with the repackaged version of successful third studio album.

“Friday,” a romantic tune in IU’s repackaged third full-length album “Modern Times – Epilogue,” grabbed the top place on MelOn’s weekly singles chart during the week of December 23 and 29, the chart showed on Monday.

Last week’s chart-topping song “Winter Propose,” sung by Jellyfish Entertainment artists Sung Si-kyung, Park Hyo-shin, Seo In-guk, VIXX and Younger Sister, took one step down and sat at No. 2.

Rapper Beenzino’s new single “Dali, Van, Picasso” climbed up to number three, while vocal group Brown Eyed Soul’s new R&B harmony “You” took eight steps up and landed at No. 4

Rounding off the top five is last week’s No. 2 duet song “Loved You” by Seo In-guk and Zia.

Other popular K-pop tunes last week were WheeSung, Gummy’s duet R&B “Special Love,” Zia’s newest single “To Be Expected,” Lyn’s sweet yet sorrowful ballad “My Destiny,” SISTAR’s main vocal Hyolyn’s solo debut tune “One Way Love” and WheeSung’s “Heartsore Story.”

Over on the weekly albums chart, IU’s “Modern Times – Epilogue” soared up to No. 1, while Hyolyn’s last week’s top album “LOVE&HATE” and EXO’s winter special EP “Miracles in December” each followed next two spots, respectively.
