Korean idol star Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation and actor Jung Kyoung-ho have admitted to have been in a romantic relationship for a year.
An official with Jung’s agency Fantagio told TenAsia on Friday that, “the two have been in a relationship almost for a year.” Sooyoung’s agency SM Entertainment admitted the same.
Jung, who starred in 2013 comedy movie “Roller Coaster,” has been a sweet boyfriend to Sooyoung, meeting her family members and taking the female star to her school Chungang University, where Jung also graduated from.
The actor told that he has nice feelings toward Sooyoung during a TV show after being discharged from the military, which became the trigger of the two began dating a year ago. Late last year, Jung unveiled that he is officially in a relationship.
When the two stars were reported to be in a romantic scandal early last year and three months ago, they denied the report and explained to just be in “close senior-junior relationship.”
Jung, 30, rose to stardom with KBS’ popular TV series “I’m Sorry, I Love You” in 2004. He gained popularity with roles in “Time Between Dog and Wolf” (MBC, 2007), “Smile, You” (SBS, 2009-2010) and most recently, “Cruel City” (JTBC, 2013).
Sooyoung, 23, whose real name is Choi Soo-young, broke into the music scene as member of top girl group Girls’ Generation in 2007. She successfully expanded boundaries to acting by taking lead roles in TV series “The Third Hospital” and “Dating Agency: Cyrano.”
