Promising boy group EXO and top songstress IU have shared top honors on local TV music shows over the weekend.

EXO’s “Miracles in December” achieved the three-straight-win on Mnet’s music show “M! CountDown” and IU’s “Friday” collected all three trophies on KBS’s “Music Bank,” MBC’s “Music Core” and SBS’s “Inkigayo” during the first week of January.

While EXO replaced their acceptance speech with a video clip due to the cancellation of “M! CountDown” last Thursday, IU also didn’t make an appearance onto the three shows.

Jang I-jung, member of boy band HISTORY who featured in the IU’s top song, delivered the grateful speech on behalf of his lablemate on Friday’s “Music Bank.”

“It was a great honor for me to participate in IU’s song and I’ll make sure that this trophy hand in to her,” the main vocalist of HISTORY said, adding to ask more support for the boy band.
