Korean idol star Kangin of K-pop group Super Junior has been chosen as the new host of MBC MUSIC’s live music show.

Kangin became the third-ever emcee of “Show Champion,” which will first unveil its renewed program with new spots on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Korea time.

Following the first emcee duo Shindong of Super Junior, comedienne Kim Sin-young and the second hosts f(x) Amber and T-ara’s Eunjung, Kangin was acknowledged his ability as a skilled TV emcee.

As the first official individual activity after being discharged from the military in April of 2012, Kang in expressed his feelings that, “I’d like to make a show just like a festival every week as a humble host.”

The 28-year-old idol star, set to show a special performance as the new host tomorrow, cancelled the stage to offer his condolences to his teammate Lee Teuk’s sudden loss of family.
