Korean actors Yoo A-in and Jung Yoo-mi have teamed up to lend their voice to an upcoming Korean fantasy animation.
The two stars took on their first dubbing job in Korean animated film “The Satellite Girl and Milk Cow,” set to open in the local theaters next month, the film’s distributor Indie Plug said on Wednesday.
Yoo takes on a chicken-hearted boy who fell under a spell and turned into a brindled cow, which later tries to save the world from a villain, while Jung portrays the number one satellite who became a girl by magic, joining the cow’s fantastic adventure.
Director Jang Hyung-yoon explained that, “With her usual image and voice tone, we offered the satellite girl character to Jung and she accepted the role at once. And she recommended Yoo as the boy’s role and he also willingly joined the movie. When we did the script reading together before recording, we were so glad that the movie’s characters and two actors match so well.”
The movie, which came to finally hit the screen after five years’ production period, is the first feature animation of director Jang who swept local animation awards with his short animations “Wolf Daddy” and “A Coffee Vending Machine and its Sword.”
