Solo male artist Rain and girl group Girl’s Day have shared top honors on local television music shows over the weekend.

Rain, who made a comeback after being discharged from the military last July, took home the winning trophy on Mnet’s music show “M! Countdown” and KBS’s “Music Bank” with his tune “L.A. Song” during the second week of January.

“Thank you for this trophy which I received right after my comeback,” Rain said on “Music Bank.” “I also want to thank my fans for coming out tonight, despite the cold weather. I will keep doing my best.”

Girl’s Day’s sexy tune “Something” was also crowned No. 1 on MBC’s “Music Core” and SBS’s “Inkigayo.”

“I would like to thank our families and supportive fans and friends. We will keep working hard,” the girls said in joyful tears on “Inkigayo.”
