Wellmade STARM has denied a report saying that they are likely to sign a management deal with former KARA member Nicole.

Local daily sports paper Ilgan Sports had reported earlier on Wednesday that Wellmade has been the most aggressive in approaching Nicole, without an agency since last week because she did not renew her contract with DSP Media, and therefore, are expected to sign with her.

However, an official with Wellmade told TenAsia over the phone that the report is “groundless” and that they currently have no plans to have her join the agency although they had contact with her mother in the past.

The report had also said Wellmade was considering forming a singing duo composed of Nicole and former T-ara member Hwayoung but the official dismissed this as well, adding that Hwayoung is planning to pursue an acting career.

Hwayoung signed with Wellmade last December after leaving T-ara last July when she became embroiled in controversy that she was the target of bullying by other members of her girl group.

Nicole had made her debut as a member of KARA in 2007 and actively pursued her singing career since but her contract with DSP expired.
