Boy band B1A4 was crowned the winner of Korea’s three major weekly music shows over the weekend.
The five-member group took the top spot on Friday’s “Music Bank,” Saturday’s “Music Core,” and Sunday’s “Inkigayo” with song “LONELY” from their second full-length album “WHO AM I” released two weeks ago.
During their acceptance speech on “Inkigayo,” B1A4 member Jinyoung thanked their agency and fans by saying, “I don’t know how to react to all the love we seem to be receiving.”
Just last week, K-pop royalty TVXQ! had swept all music shows, including Thursday’s “M! CountDown” of cable music channel Mnet, with their tune “Something” from their seventh studio release.
However, the duo managed to hold onto their trophy on “M! CountDown,” making it their second win in a row. They did not perform on the show but delivered their acceptance message through a pre-recorded video message.
