SBS’s current hit TV series “Love from Star” is in discussions to be extended by one episode, according to its producer.
An official with production firm HB Entertainment told TenAsia over the phone on Wednesday, “SBS suggested it to us so we’re discussing it. But there are many matters to be worked out such as with the production team and actors so we’ll have a better idea after the Lunar New Year holidays.”
Starring actors Kim Soo-hyun and Jun Ji-hyun, the 20-part Wednesday and Thursday series has been one of the most popular dramas these days and has seen its ratings jump each week.
In the meantime, Kang Kyung-ok, writer of comic book “Seol-hee” [in romanized Korean] said just yesterday that she will file a suit against the show for plagiarism.
She has claimed that the show is similar to “Seol-hee” in many ways including the background, setup, jobs, and relationships between characters.
In regards to this, the official with HB stated, “I think the only thing we can do about that is for us to take legal action as well.”
