Actor Kim Woo-bin will meet with fans in Asia, starting with Hong Kong over the weekend, his agency said on Tuesday.
A press release by sidusHQ stated that Kim will hold a fan event in Hong Kong on Sunday, a continuation of his meet-and-greet tour titled “Kim Woo Bin, The 1st Fanmeeting in Asia,” which kicked off in Korea last month.
He is also set to visit several more countries including Taiwan, China (Shanghai), and Thailand, the statement added.
An official with sidusHQ was quoted as saying, “Kim had been asked to hold fan meetings in Asia ever since he appeared in ‘School 2013.’ He finally came to do so backed by the support of his fans thanks to the success of SBS’s ‘The Inheritors’ and film ‘Friend: The Great Legacy’ last year.”
“The Inheritors,” an SBS drama from last year starring actors Lee Min-ho and Park Shin-hye, was a hit and the project through which Kim got his big break in acting.
Currently 24, Kim originally started out as a fashion model in 2009. He, along with actor Lee Hyun-woo, two of the most popular rising stars last year, are set to play the main characters in an upcoming movie about the top criminal safe crackers in Korea.
