Big Bang member Daesung is set to release a new album, resuming his solo singing career in Korea for the first time in four years.
The news was announced through a press release by YG Entertainment on Tuesday, but without details to when and how the new record will be dropped.
The statement then said that Daesung will release a solo album in Japan as well and tour the country to promote the new record.
For his Japan tour, set to attract a total 125,000 fans, he will hold a total of 12 shows in seven cities from June 11 to July 17.
Daesung, 24, has released a total of three digital singles in Korea so far with the last one being “Cotton Candy” in January 2010.
He also released two albums in Japan, both last year, which fared well on music charts in the country. His tour “D-LITE D’scover Tour 2013 in Japan” was a success as well, attracting a total 100,000 fans in 20 cities throughout the country.
