Top Korean actors Lee Seung-gi and Cha Seung-won may be close to deciding on a new project.
An official with HB Entertainment, set to produce the series named “You Are Surrounded” (translated title), told TenAsia over the phone on Wednesday, “The two are seriously considering the project and are discussing on their appearance but are not set on it yet.”
The show, an SBS drama set to air in April following “Three Days” (translated title) which will premiere this month, will be about newbie police officers in their twenties.
Lee, who made his debut in 2004 as a singer, shot to stardom by starring in TV series “Brilliant Legacy” and thereafter appeared in a number of dramas including “My Girlfriend Is Gumiho,” “The King 2 Hearts” and most recently “Kang Chi, the Beginning”, which won him the top excellence prize at the 2013 MBC Drama Awards.
Cha made his debut as a model before his first role in the 1997 SBS sitcom “New York Story” and shot to stardom with a slew of hits of his comedy films in the early 2000s. He has since also appeared in a number of dramas including SBS romcom “City Hall,” SBS blockbuster “Athena” and MBC romantic drama “The Greatest Love,” one of the most-watched TV series in 2011.
