Boy band 2AM member Seulong has been cast in an upcoming drama starring Lee Da-hye and Lee Dong-wook.
A press release by his agency Big Hit Entertainment said on Thursday that the 26-year-old star will appear in MBC’s new drama “Hotel King” (translated title) set to premiere on March 29.
In the show, revolving around the female inheritor of a hotel who struggles to protect the hotel, and the manager of that hotel who becomes enemies with his father for that woman, Seulong will play a hotelier with three years experience.
He will come together with the inheritor to save the hotel yet also be in a love triangle with her, set to be played by Lee Da-hye, and the hotel’s manager, who will be taken on by Lee Dong-wook.
“I’m nervous and excited because I’m returning to dramas for the first time in a while. I’ll be working with Lee Dong-wook for the second time since ‘Fugitive of Joseon’ and we’re close friends already so I think I’ll have even more fun working on the project,” Seulong was quoted as saying in the statement.
Seulong, who debuted as a member of his singing quartet in 2008, has tried his hand at acting several times now including in movies “Acoustic” and “26 Years,” and dramas “Personal Taste” and “Fugitive of Joseon.”
