Famed singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum and R&B singer Craig David will join in this year’s Seoul Jazz Festival.
The second lineup for the May 17 and 18 fest announced on Thursday included the two along with several other artists such as American jazz drummer, pianist and composer Jack Dejohnette’s Jack Dejohnette Trio and American jazz saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Gerald Albright.
Three-time Grammy Award-winning jazz bassist Charlie Haden’s Charlie Haden Quartet West, top tenor saxaphonist Joshua Redman’s Joshua Redman Quartet, and Grammy Award-winning pianist Eddie Palmieri’s Latin Jazz band are some of the names that were included in the first lineup announced earlier this month.
Famed Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice and Erlend Øye of indie folk duo Kings of Convenience, who will bring his project Erlend Øye & Band to the event, will be much-anticipated participants as well.
Having started in 2007, the Seoul Jazz Festival is into its eighth year and has hosted a number of internationally famous artists including Sergio Mendes, George Benson, and Pat Metheny.
