Korean actress Park Shin-hye’s Taiwanese drama will begin its run in Korea starting next month, according to the official website of cable channel Drama Cube on Wednesday.

Drama Cube’s website showed that romantic comedy series “Hayate the Combat Butler,” starring Park and Taiwanese-American actor George Hu, will air every Friday night starting December 2.

“Hayate,” based on the Japanese manga of the same name, tells the story of Ling Qi Sa (Hu) who begins working as a butler and bodyguard to Xiao Zhi (Park), a daughter of a wealthy family.

The series fared well in Taiwan during its run in June while Park had visited the country to promote the show.

It also made its premiere in Singapore in September while several other countries such as China, Hong Kong and Japan were in talks to purchase the show.

Park has been one of Korea’s most popular actresses in the Asia region since rising to stardom through TV series “He’s Beautiful” in 2009.

She recently signed with Japanese agency IMX to officially kick off her career in the country.
