zea-siwan-to-take-2nd-acting-role-in-tv-series
Boy band ZE:A member Siwan has been cast in an upcoming KBS TV series, making it his second acting role.

A press release from the show’s promoter Pan Entertainment announced that Siwan will play the younger version of Lee Jang-il who is the best friend to Sun-woo (played by actor Uhm Tae-woong) in KBS’ series “Man of the Equator” (translated title) set to air every Wednesday and Thursday nights starting March 14.

“Siwan made the decision to take on ‘Man’ since he felt like the role will help him grow as an actor,” an official with his agency Star Empire Entertainment said in the statement.

“Man,” scripted by famed scenarist Kim In-young, will be similar to her past work “Woman of the Sun” which told about desire, love and forgiveness.

Siwan made his debut in nine-member boy band ZE:A (Children of Empire) in 2010 with their single album “Nativity.” He recently expanded his career into acting with a role in MBC’s hit historical series “The Moon Embracing the Sun.”
